Draft pending legal review. Not yet in effect.
Cancelling
- You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account or by emailing hello@homedojo.com.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. The student keeps access until then. There are no cancellation fees.
Refunds
- The trial lesson is free and needs no account, so there is nothing to refund.
- New subscriptions: if HomeDojo is not right for your family, tell us within [14 days] of the first charge and we refund it in full.
- Renewals: monthly renewals are not refunded once the period has started, except where the service was unavailable for a significant part of the month or where the law requires a refund.
- Coached plan: a missed supervisor review in a paid month is credited to the next month [confirm].
- Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within [10 business days].
Purchases paid with an ESA
When a plan is paid for through an education savings account program, the program owns the funds, not the parent. So:
- Any refund or credit is returned to the ESA platform or the student's ESA account, never to the parent's personal card or bank account.
- We follow the refund rules of the program that funded the purchase. Some programs also require the parent to report a refund to the program administrator.
- Where a program asks for advance payment to be non-refundable, this page and the invoice say so; parents can use this published policy as the confirmation their program requires.
More on programs, invoices and receipts on our ESA page.
How to request a refund
Email hello@homedojo.com from the account holder's address with the student's name and the invoice or charge date. We reply within [2 business days].
